ok i know there’s been a ton of theories on this already but let’s just say the “Making Friends” part of the title refers to the Donnie plot line. makes sense- the team is going to have to try and be friendly to get to Donnie, since the last time they met things didn’t end well. alright, then it’s only logical to assume that the second part of the title, “Influencing People” is the Simmons plot. now the question is, is she caught in the crossfire because she’s influencing someone, or is she influencing someone because she’s caught in the crossfire? and who is she influencing? a friend or an enemy? is season two jemma going to break my heart? probably who knows?

crossing my fingers the influencing part is a Fitz thing. Like he’ll influence Donnie not to go bad, just like Simmons was able to influence Fitz early on when there was still the possibility he could’ve gone bad.

Okay, but the title is a play on the book "How to Win Friends and Influence People”, which is about leadership and success. I think that’s going to directly tie into Coulson’s becoming director storyline. Simmons and Donnie are going to provide the stakes for the episode and run one part of the story, but I think Coulson will run another part, or be integral to changing Donnie’s mind.
It says you’ll learn:
* Three fundamental techniques in handling people
* The six ways to make people like you
* The twelve ways to win people to you way of thinking
* The nine ways to change people without arousing resentment

I wonder if they’ll be able to change Donnie’s mind…

ok that is actually really cool I love it
